Wellington Kaisala

Wellington has long been a trusted partner and friend of our founding team — a dedicated community volunteer who has consistently gone above and beyond to serve others. In his village, he mentors youth through sports, leads HIV awareness programs, and supports positive youth development. Whether on the soccer field or in local churches, Wellington is always working to create safe, empowering spaces for young people.

A father of three and a subsistence farmer, Wellington has a dream: to become a nurse and serve as a healthcare professional in his own community. Unlike many who see education as a way out of rural life, Wellington wants to stay in order to to bring his knowledge back to his village and be a force for change from within.

Recently, Wellington was accepted into a two-year computer science certificate program, a major stepping stone toward nursing school. Beyond Borders Education Fund is proud to support his journey by sponsoring his tuition and providing him with a personal laptop. In a program of over 70 students and only five shared computers, having his own laptop is truly transformative.

With this opportunity, Wellington is building a path from limited resources to higher education, from village role model to qualified health professional. His story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of investing in people who give back.
